Ways to play

Find your game at Sanddune

Whatever your level, there is a way to get on court this week.

What is padel?

Padel is a racket sport played in doubles on an enclosed court, about a third the size of a tennis court. The walls are part of the game, so rallies last longer and the sport is fun from your very first session.

It is easier to learn than tennis, more social than squash and one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. That is why Dubai's padel scene is booming.

Why padel is perfect for beginners

How to start playing padel at Sanddune

Step 1: Book a beginner coaching session

The fastest way to enjoy padel. A private or small-group coaching session teaches you the basics in a relaxed, encouraging setting.

Step 2: Use our rackets

No gear yet? No problem. Rackets and balls are available at the club, so you can try the sport before buying your own.

Step 3: Join a social

Once you have the basics, join one of our weekly socials. You sign up on your own and we match you with players at your level.

What beginner coaching covers

All you need is sports clothing and comfortable trainers.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to learn padel?

Most people play basic rallies in their first session. After two or three coaching sessions you will be comfortable playing full matches.

What should I wear?

Comfortable sports clothes and trainers with good side support. Padel shoes are ideal but not needed at the start.

Can I play if I have never played a racket sport?

Absolutely. Padel is one of the easiest racket sports to start.

Do I need my own racket?

No. Rackets and balls are available at the club, and our pro shop sells beginner-friendly rackets if you want your own.
